New poults, not interested in food

Sorry you lost the poult. Are you feeding Gamebird Starter? Start collecting up moths at night. Next morning either hand feed them to the poults or tear off one wing of moth (flutter/not fly) and toss them into feeder. These guys need higher % of protein than the chicks. If not on higher protein starter augment with crushed hard boiled eggs and `bugs' (moths & meal worms).

Get a couple of containers of meal worms, dampen some on wet paper towel - sprinkle damp meal worms on top of crumbles - poults catch on quick..

I believe the starter we have is 24%. It was labeled for turkey and I can't remember what else. We just fed the last of the mealworms to the chickens but I will make sure to pick some up tomorrow! Plus I love the idea of the moths. We came inside last night because they were starting to drive us crazy on the porch. I scrambled an egg yolk yesterday and put it in, they didn't touch it.

They are eating though. We are still putting it on the paper towels, and will be giving them a feeder tomorrow. I'm going to get in contact with the feed store and see if they've had any losses. I know it happens, it was just so sudden and unexpected. I hate that we didn't get a chance to try anything to help it.

Some folks have good luck with the 24%. Most turkey starter runs from 28-30%. Crushed hard boiled eggs might work (offer `dressed' with meal worms). Live animal protein is about their favorite:
