Any thoughts on if this is a sbel chick? Hatched out of a large egg (72grams). Feathers are coming in very skinny.


Chick in question is the spotted one on the top.


Skinny wing feathers.

Maybe, maybe not. SBEL isnt a breed just a mix of a blue egg layer and usually a white leghorn. Egg size it hatched from and how it is feathering in has nothing to do with whether it is or isnt. If it has a parent that is a production white egg layer and a parent that carries two blue egg laying genes then you can call it a SBEL. If the one parent has one blue egg laying gene and one gene for a different color egg the it has a 50% chance. With all these type of hybrid chickens different people have different ideas of what does and doesnt constitute it being the so called "breed".
