Java Green peafowl questions

What do you feed peafowl? Can you feed the same feed as chickens?
I feed my peafowl a 22% protein meat bird feed. It depends on the chicken and age of the peafowl. Adults can survive on egg laying chicken feed but I recommend having a protein close to 20%. Chicks in my opinion need at least 20% protein but others have had amazing chicks with just 18% protein. Also you're on an older thread. It would be best to start a new one.

Okay thanks and I'll look for kne

And i have seen several breeders using 5 green hens with single male without any problems.

It does depend on the hens personality, what I have found is the hens get more aggressive when the season approaches like right now. That being said, I have found that it pertains more towards higher % + green hens. I have put more lower % hens, up to 5 with a rooster and blue hens have never been an issue, so far. Pure green hens are very jealous birds and theres always one hen that is queen.
