Sandy, my New Hampshire hen will be a year old next month. She has never laid any eggs. All the others that hatched when she did have been laying for months. Same diet, Winter is over here in the south. Still, she is not laying. She is the only New Hampshire I have, and a very pretty hen, but no eggs.

She is by herself, as she cannot "get along" with the other hens. Every time I try to put her in with other hens, she ends up bleeding, and running from them constantly. When she free ranges, she goes off by herself, and all the others flock together somewhat.

If you don't find an answer, you are doing the best you can. I would just leave well enough alone and see if she begins laying. Could be the other chickens realize she is not well, so they are treating as outsider. If she comes around, they will. Good Luck

What might aid in integrating her is to put another hen in with her in other pen. After a week or two they should pair up and then can both be brought back to big pen.

I'd not let them free range during that time. Get them to buddy up. OR if you note it's a boss hen that's keeping her down leave her in big pen and take away the boss for that time.

Have tried everything else, so will try that. She was buddied up with a buff orpington that was younger than she was, but she was killed by a german shepherd. Will try buddying her up with another hen. Thanks for the suggestion.
