I understand that incubating eggs is probably a better hatch rate than having a hen do it. However after my incubator is really bad so I want to no if there are especially broody hens that will lay on them all the time in the nest or at least part of the season.
Thanks, Dan

Probably the two most popular breeds for broodys are Cochins and Silkies, both are really broody and tend to want to brood multiple times a year. You can't "make" a hen go broody, it is hormonal and they go on their own schedule, but those two breeds are really likely to go broody. There are a couple of nice articles on broody hens in the Learning Center in case you haven't seen them https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-and-raising-chicks
