hey guys I need your advise I have a chicken the ha the black head disease and in need of a cure I separated her from the flock and now I need a cure that I can find locale. I also need to no if I have to treat the rest of my flock please need help ASAP ASAP ASAP

How do you know your chicken has blackhead? They can get it, but it is usually more a problem in turkeys. It is treated with metronidazole, also known as Flagyl and Fish zole. Fish zole is readily available online here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fish-Zole-250mg-Metronidazole-30ct-/111138148490. The heterakis gallinae worm that causes it must also be treated, and SafeGuard liquid goat wormer is available at most TSC's and farmstores in 4 ounce bottles. Casportpony and Michael Apple here on BYC are experienced with blackhead, but I am not. Here is a link about blackhead--read posts 6 and 7 in first link for dosages:

thank you thank you thank you. could it harm my flock if I treat them just as a precaution???
 
Treating with the SafeGuard is no problem since it is just a good wormer, but I don't think I would treat my whole flock with fish zole, maybe just the sick one. Casportpony may tell you different.

You want to treat for blackhead first, then worm your birds. Metronidazole dosage is one 250mg tablet orally once a day for 5 days to all your birds.
Then after the 5th day dose all your birds with safeguard liquid goat wormer. Dosage is 1/2cc orally undiluted to each chicken. Repeat again in 10 days.

I dealt with the likelihood Histomoniasis recently. I've seen cecal worms in the past. The eggs passed by cecal worms contain the protozoa known as Histomonas meleagridis. Worming birds is important in this instance, but so is the proper medicine for the protozoa. Metronidazole tabs at 250 mg for a 5 lb bird, once a day for 5 days generally takes care of the problem. It is best to dose first thing in the morning on an empty crop. A couple types available without prescription are Fish-Zole or Aviotrich. Adding vitamins-electolyte-probiotic powder to water is also helpful during and after treatment. Avoid feeding scratch grains or fibrous fruits and vegetables during this time.

Give 2 - 100mg tabs each morning for a 4+ lb bird.
 
Since it's Friday I would suggest getting some API General Cure from Petsmart. It's more expensive per dose than the items mentioned above, but it will work. Double check that it says 250mg metronidazole and 75mg praziquantil. You don't need the praziquantil, but it won't hurt to give it. One box will treat 10 large fowl, but it's powder, so one will have to mix one 250mg pack in water and very carefully syringe feed it.

It's been my experience that one does not have time to place an order for metronidazole unless they want to pay for overnight shipping. Another option would be to get some from a vet.
