I went ahead and picked up eight 3 to 6 month birds and 25 hatchlings from Mr. Abbott in Thomaston, Ga on June 3rd. Very satisfied with The Chick Inn's setup and service. Carroll was a pleasure to deal with.

I also bought a 4 month old barred rock from him. He was very knowledgable and interesting to talk too. He has very clean place and good breeds glad I found him. look forward to getting another bird.

His Marans are nice!! I want to add them to the list, too, but hubbs asked me where all this money is coming from(we are getting HRIR, BLRW, Isabel Orpington and Lavender Orpingtons as well). I can't help it --chicken math.
The way I look at it is that the set up is the same whether we have 5 birds, or 50. The coop is already plenty big, so why not? :

Thanks!! You too. We are waiting on a coop extension, so the coop can be divided into 2 separate coopsor one large. We can probably handle 20. I agree, why not!!! Let me know how it goes with your order!
