Yes, but I need all the help I can get competing against your birds, Matt. And it does seem to help broken feathers grow faster.
I have gotten lucky once or twice...
Yes the protein can help with feather development.

It would be nice to just have a steady system like that. Have you found that there is a point at which the protien is too much and would cause longevity or digestive issues? Some are feeding 25%. Are your breeders on the same feed as your show stock, or do they just get oyster free choice?I feed a 20% Game Bird Pellet. I have found that "Chicken" feed does not keep my birds in good enough feather to show so I haven't used any in years.

How much Mana? I see it is quite potent. 1 table spoon/bird seems hard to control as they could pick it out of their regular rations unless you feed a specific amount so that there are no "leftovers"

Look for the APA shows in your area. There is a big show in California in January.Where are the shows that you all attend and when. Is there a link for show schedules. All I have seen around my area is bantam breeds.

This website lists a lot of shows by state: http://www.poultryshowcentral.com/
Also, bantam shows will usually also have large fowl classes. At least they do around here (Florida).
Thanks, for the info. The last show I went to had all only one breed of large birds. I believe they were called White Faced Spanish? I was really hoping to see some Australorps.
