In your experience.

I'm a bit impatient and worried waiting for my button quail eggs to hatch. They're two days late with no movement.

Also include your early hatches! What was the earliest they've hatched?

Gaaah, I wanted to make it multiple choice, but I forgot :(

I am in day 23 of my 1st hatch of chicken eggs. I had 1 hatch on day 21 with 14 more in the incubator. I am really disappointed at this time???? I candled the eggs at days 11 and 18 and removed 5 that were definitely not fertile but had high hopes for the other 15. The eggs came from a friend and I am not sure of the environment the were stored in prior to me receiving them. I will give the eggs another day or two before giving up. Not sure what to change?? The only thing I can think of is that the humidity was not adequate in the 1st two weeks?? I hope your hatch goes better than mine!!

Keep in mind that different birds hatch at different times- ducks, geese and turkeys all take 28 days. Emu and ostrich are even longer.

For me: The earliest I've ever had a chicken hatch was day 19. The latest was today, interestingly enough. I was not using my regular incubator for most of the incubation, so I struggled with low temps.

Chick should've hatched Saturday afternoon, but it hatched early Tuesday morning, so it hatched on day 24. Crazy.

Indeed, but I was referring to chickens :)

Well, hold on to them, they're probably just a bit late. Mine are too.

I just made a thread on my chick that hatched today. It pipped Day 20 evening and because of the assisted hatching article I left it alone and it hatched this morning Day 22. I have had mine hatch on Day 19 many times.
