12+ Birchen Marans Hatching Eggs

My birds are throwing copper. The hens do not have the pattern as nice as Green Fire shows. New hens are showing it and I am keeping them to breed.  There mothers however had none.    

I have a better hatch with broody hens than with my incubator.  

I had a nice rooster but he was mean and attacked me more than once.  He had to go.  

I still have his father my original and he's okay but with a white feather in his tail and a crooked toe. None of his chicks have crooked toes. 

How many other BYC members do you know who have Birchens?  I personally do not know anyone, but if you look at the Birchen Thread here on BYC or look for Birchens or just Marans on FB you can find others.
