I bought 2 mallards and 4 swedish ducks, supposedly chocolate, doesnt matter really as I love their personality and how silly they are, but was more wondering how you tell the difference between the sexes as these are my 1st swedish ducks, 3 have grey bills and make more of a quacking sound and one a tan-ish bill (far left) like the mallards and make more of a honking sound...I am hoping that this 1 is a male and have 3 females (eggs :D)......anyone know about this breed?? I would love to find out but cant seem to find any answers on them! Much appreciated.

I'm sorry but I think those look like Khaki Campbell's. Or maybe it is just bcz I have 4KCs and I love them. :) I thought Sweedish were either blue or black, with a bib?

Your Khaki Campbells like all breeds descended from Mallards when male will have curly tail feathers. They are not Swedish ducks. Metzer farms website has photos of many breeds of ducks including Khakis and Swedish (which are either blue or black with white fronts). My feed store had Khaki Campbells listed as Cayugas which are solid black. They said the hatchery told them that Cayugas were brown.

Thank you, I just looked them up on Mezter farms and you are right, seems we have 4 KC's, 1 male and 3 females, happy all the same they are great ducks...

Yep, they are great and are still pretty friendly, not as much as my mallards but i'm sure these two boys will be leaving some day...the other four ducks arent happy when they fly off and the cant see them, but they come back (so far) and alls good :D
