Anyone use Koop Clean?

Pics
Haha Yeah, I'm here because I saw Koop Clean at my Tractor Supply and wanted to do some research on it.
Sounds nice and is around $12 so I'm going to try it.

I have used it for about 2 years & like it. It keeps my coop much drier in the winter & much easier to remove, as it doesn't cake in the winter like wood chips did for me. The chickens seem to love it. The only thing I don't like is the price. I paid $18.99 at the local feed store since it came out. It is $13.99 at my TSC now, which is better, but TSC always has trouble keeping stuff in stock.

Thank you. This sparked my interest as I recently saw it at my local TSC too. I was thinking about trying it this winter as I have silkies that ground roost and like a deep bedding down in the bitter cold months. Last year I got a couple bales of straw from my local feed store and hated it. It smelled really bad in just a couple of days and was so dusty, dirty and difficult to remove. When we are deep into winter I am unable to remove bedding so I stir it and add fresh to the top. Can this be used on top of pine shavings and how often do you have to replace it?

Hey guys. I read half this thread and I was sold. I was going to go with hemp for my new coop but decided on this stuff. Super hard to find! I live in Ithaca NY and I had to drive 100 miles to get some. I bought two bales at a Tractor Supply in Victor NY. It was all they had. So then I drove to another Tractor Supply east of Rochester and bought 2 more. Ill use 1 and a half for my new coop but Ill hold on to the other bags. Unless someone wants them at $30 a bale. haha jk, I wont sell them.

The difference between that product and Koop Clean is that Koop Clean is heat-dried so there is not chance of mold or mites as there is with regular straw or chopped straw (and Koop Clean has hay plus Sweet PDZ).
So Koop Clean doesn't get mites?
