Advice called childish

A person wanted suggestions on why her chicken was lame for 10 days.  I gave her some suggestions.  3 days later I post that I give mine cake or French toast (comfort food) when they are (healing).

She tells me that she only wanted valuable advice, not childish blather, and asked me if I was insane.  So, I deleted my (helpful) post and she gave it an ovation (for deleting it).

There are hardly, if any times where members have been rude to me or I to them.  I've been a member here for 6 1/2 years, and have been proud of that, and helping anyone I can.  Sorry about the rant, but sometimes people are not very nice and I've really never come across any one before get told that their advice was childish blather from a possibly insane person.

How awful you had to go through that!!! I personally have sincerely appreciated any feedback from you! You are great, that person is just plain mean! Please dont let that person prevent you from continuing to help people out.

That's rude.

Probably just a trolling kid who'll regret acting that way in a few years. I know I look back at some of the things I posted when I first came here, and I'm like, "OMG, I SAID that?!? WHY?!?!?!?!?"

Chickens in Queens???? How does that happen?

Dstinett, you're right about young users. People really need to be careful what they say because it could be someone young. I know BYC is very pro-young members. I'm glad your venting has made you feel better. I know stuff like that ruins my day , too. It shouldn't, but it does. It seems to be a good thing to be able to vent to people who understand.

Irish, like many people here, we are so needy when we're new and not even so new. There aren't any other places like BYC to get help, and at some point be able to give back and help someone out.
