broader temperature

Thanks so much!!! I'll need all the luck I can get. I am so nervous about trying this. Chicks come tomorrow. I have 3 broody hens setting in laying boxes. Would it be feasible to slide the chicks in under the hens? I just got 4 hens 3 weeks ago, my first chickens ever.

As long as the chicks are a few days old. Also, as long as the hens are serious about being broody will they except the chicks. If the hens raise the chicks, you don't need a heat lamp. Feel free to ask any other questions!

Mine are a week old. I lowered the temp and they are acting cold. One even started sneezing. Up the temp back to 95 and they are happy. Could I move them to the garage. Our temp was 89 today?
