Watching your video. It's very hard to watch that fox get in. Ugh. Recently lost 2 of my free rangers to a suspected fox. Ugh. Sorry you're dealing wit his as well.

yeah, we've lost one here, one there with the door issue, but as you saw, we locked the entire flock out. That is why I finally had enough and switched to this door opener. My kids has a few favorites in our old flock.

Looks cool but I do not like the pulley or that it doesn't open out. I have not had an issue with my automatic door opener. (Link below)

I can't say I need a control box, I basically installed mine and forgot about it. I have never had an issue with chickens not getting in before it shut or anything else. Wish I had one to shut my shed doors at night and open them in the morning. I open for ventilation...

Have you tried the Pullet Shut door?

I don't own stock in either product, but it seems to me a door opening outward creates the opportunity for problems. Snow is just one. There is a reason 99.9 percent of garage doors don't open out. The chicken guard appears to have many more features, has a very small internal battery and is cheaper. That said, to each his own.

Wow, yeah I don't think a garage door opening out would be a good idea lol. Not sure if that is a good comparison however, I wouldn't parallel park a tractor trailer in a 10 foot spot but my Prius would be just fine. But yes, to each his own. I don't worry about snow as I live in Florida, guess I should worry about Hurricane winds ripping the door off. Sure wish I had an easy control panel that allowed me to close or open the door at any time I guess.
