No, I don't feed my chickens styrofoam.
I just didn't know where else to put this. :D

I don't know about you, but my chickens LOVE styrofoam. If we leave a styrofoam cooler on the back deck, they find it. They also found the styrofoam archery target and the sheet of styrofoam.
And they ate them.
Not the whole thing, but they made a huge dent in them (especially the archery target!)

But where does all that foam go??? We never see it come out!

styrofoam is polymer so it should have chemical resistance. It should come out covered with poop...

I am glad you posted this I honestly thought I had crazy chickens because they are forever finding Styrofoam. And will run off with it if they see me coming like they know I am going to take it

There is styrofoam insulation under the siding of my house. I have to chase them away with a broom and they come running back as soon as I turn my head. Cracks me up but I can't imagine it is good for them (hence the broom).

I have had to resort to the waterhose we have a Styrofoam cooler that blew into the woods last month and wouldn't it be my luck it lands in the middle of a huge position sumac bush thing. Yeah I can't go and get it sadly by now it is only half a cooler thanks to the chickens. I try to run them off at first thought I will wait til winter sumac dies out get cooler cut roots out but they are eating the only marker for the sumac
