Today I put the 2 month old chickens out in the tractor. The gnats wern't bad,in fact,there where none around so I didn't spray the chicks as I normally did. An hour later one was dead in the pen. Two more where in critical condition. One of the two died and one is still alive right now. She is on my lap,her head is drooping and her eyes are closed,but she is still breathing and her heart is beating. I know it was gnats,but what do I do know? Emergency! She just opened her eyes and stirred her feathers,then closed her eyes again. She's still breathing and I can feel a heart beat. Help!
