Worms or Shed Intestinal Lining - Yucky Pics!!

Ok... Someone help... Is there an alien residing in my chicken?

I came home from work today and sometime during the day, one of my hens left this "deposit" on the poop board... I grabbed the plastic fork for a size reference...

The outer skin looked dry and still pliable. The inside is filled with some sort of sticky(?) mucus. The freaking thing is huge! I'm hoping it's just an intestinal shed or something.

So this morning I found a poo that had what I thought was a worm. I took the 'worm' out and looked at it closely. I couldn't readily identify it but I figured it must be a round worm. I have levamisole at the ready, and I can easily get piperazine, but the more I thought about it the more I wondered if it really was a worm. I didn't get photos of the original poop, but looking at the poop page, it looked like this: or exactly like this, from the Chicken Chick's page: Both of the photos above are NOT worms, but show rather yucky portions of shed intestinal lining. Here are photos of the stringy pink 'worm' that I found: So, what do you think? Is this a worm or just a big long piece of shed intestinal lining? Thanks!
Did you ever find out, for sure, what this was? Was it vet examined?

What brand of Levamisole and dosage did you use? It is the only thing that will kill adult gapeworm that is fairly common in adult turkeys. Although other wormers say they will, I have all, and labels say they will, in fact, not always effective.

This question is for the original poster. We have used “everything else.” All I can find in the US is Prohibit. And some medications on Jedds, because somehow, racing pigeon industry gets around some US laws.
