I wouldhave voted RIR's but alas, no category for them. That being said, I like my Cochins the best out of the categories available.

Dominiques are neat because they are so purposeful, friendly, and hilariously funny. We refer to ours as the Keystone Koop or the Unite Clown of the Cirque de Poulet.

Violet will come up behind me and grab my pants to make sure that I know she is present and wants a treat. If I sit down to read, I will turn around and find the entire flock lined up behind me, watching what I am doing.

If I come into the yard, they will all make great haste to see if I have treats - and will fly at about chest height for as far as they can; sometimes two of them run around from different sides of a raised bed, collide at full speed, and then get up, seemingly uininjured, and continue running.

They will come up to where I am sitting and tell me all about their day - in great detail.

Rose frequently refuses to eat treats when they are scattered for all of the girls, even though she is not at the bottom of the pecking order. She will force me to follow her a distance away, preferably out of sight of the others, and behave as if she is terrified before she accepts treats - she has me trained to run after her and give her treats rather than having to eat with the others. I think she really enjoys this, and that she likes having treats without having to rush. I am a waitress for a hen.

Love my Doms. Beautiful, soft feathers, petite wattles and rose comb: perfect for our nasty winters. Can't beat their personalities. Down side: tend to be fragile as chicks, at least from my experience from the hatchery they came from. Their eggs are on the small side. Some day, hope to have some good quality doms from a breeder.

Where's the Ameraucana or EE???? An other must have for every back yard flock. A bit flighty, but just love their quirky personalities. Awesome eggs. Tend to lay well and produce nice large eggs compared to to the size of the bird. Good feed conversion. Excellent foragers.
