Oooh, look at those pretty Isbar greens.

I'm going for a blue, light brown, dark brown egg rainbow, so I'm incubating more ameraucanas, lavendar orpingtons, and welsummers. My broody is setting two wheaten marans eggs in addition to those breeds. I'm hoping they both hatch, I'd like to end up with at least one marans pullet.

Those are beautiful eggs! The air cells should settle if you leave them fat end up in carton, Another thing that helped was to not turn them the first 3-4 days in the incubator. Good luck, that will be a beautiful batch of chicks! Hoping for an eventful weekend here too!

Still quite here, been fighting with keeping incubator at the proper temperature. I finally just set the temp two degrees lower now it's hovering at 100. Day 21 will be Saturday. Setting up brooder tonight just in case. Haven't seen any eggs bobbling yet either, maybe because they're in cartons.

Exciting, only1bgirl! I'm about a week behind you. I'm struggling with the temp too, trying to keep the humidity below 50% but when I do the temp swings as much as two degrees. Right now it goes from 100.5 to 102.5 depending on the time of day.

It's day 18 for my broody, I candled tonight and all 5 are full and one has a hole that looks like it came from the inside?? I want to check it again tomorrow in case its dead but I'm afraid to disturb her. I knew I would be a nervous wreck!

That's great news about the broody' s clutch! Maybe one started to pip already, it could take another day to zip. I wouldn't fight trying to keep the humidity below 50, I ran mine in the 50-55 range and the air cells grew just fine. I am nervous here, moved the probe off the top of eggs thinking it wouldn't be good for hatch time, I think I finally have it stable now. Alarming when I catch It close to 102. There are 11 eggs 3 with air cells running down the side. Here's hoping they hatch soon!

Where did you move the probe to? I didn't think about that. It would affect what temp the incubator is reading if its at a different level than days 1-18.
