EMBDEN GOOSE THREAD!!!

This is my female Embden gosling Lucy, she is 2 weeks old now. Very sweet little thing, we're trying to socialize her as much as possible right now.

Sorry, I couldn't get the picture to load, lol! The gosling in my profile picture is Wilmer, our Toulouse gander. We hope to introduce Lucy to him as his buddy when she is old enough. :)

Much better. Cuter too since I can see her better.
Not that the goose in the avatar isn't cute...

I love her! She is so cute! I want to get more geese but sadly don't have the room.

Thank you! :) They met for the first time yesterday when Lucy went outside to graze for a bit. However, Wilmer is in full breeding mode (he considers me his mate at this point), so he was not interested in her at the least. Other things on his mind, sigh... Lol! I will let her grow up a bit first and wait for him to get his testosterone levels under control.

Thank you!

So he isn't a gosling any more? I can understand your point then lol I was going by your avatar. My gander was the best papa goose to the Muscovy Ducklings we have had in the past. Maybe after Wilmer has a chance to get to know Lucy he'll quit his foolishness an become her guardian. have to share this pic

Yes, I hope so, too. This is Wilmer's first spring so he has lots to learn yet. Plus, he was our only goose until now so he needs to learn about his own heritage, lol.
