Where to place house?

So we are planning to purchase 19 acres. Problem is its a thin strip of land and it's surrounded by cropland. My husband is asthmatic and I'm worried about grain dust and spray floating in to our yard site and home. Any suggestions as to where to place my house?

I hate saying it but with your husbands asthma I would look elsewhere.
the pollen, dust and everything else that comes off crop land could cause him some serious health problems.

I tend to agree with herfrds. With your property being so narrow it's not going to make a whole lot of difference where you put the house, you will still be exposed to whatever is going on on the property around you. Field prep and harvest dust, pollen during the growing season...your going to get it all.

Narrow strips of land give you limited choices. Cost of running copper, water line and utilities can run high. Sun exposure relative to property direction can give limited garden space and have unwanted climate effects on your house. Not very good feng shui.
