For me Hooded at anytime are sensitive to shipping, it's compounded now days with express mail taking 2 and 3 days for delivery. I haven't used air line shipping yet, but I think I need to look into it. I think the birds dying could be a result of high humidity or overheating. I have lost eggs in the past with lightning strikes near.
 
Okay, that makes sense. That must stink losing eggs to lighting! If this heat keeps up I wont have any smew. Threw out another egg with a nice dead duckling.
