Oof. That's how most of my lectures go at work. Not the eating rope bit, but the let-me-tell-you-about-this-crazy-thing-from-experience bit
I've been crating him at night inside the house. He seems to enjoy it. He sleeps more soundly, crows only at two intervals (4ish and 7ish) and when he goes back to the coop in the morning (0800) he is far less cranky. Only two nights so far, fingers crossed.
The boyfriend is concerned we'll end up with a house rooster, but he likes going out to his girls and rolling in the dirt and other chickeny things so I think it'll be fine?
I'm hoping to only have to do this until it gets hot and then the closest neighbors run their AC all night which drowns out all other noise.
