Black sex link thread!!! Pics and info!

I cull at about 12 to 16 weeks of age. They are still young enough to be tender. Their crossbreed vigor does tend for them to grow a bit faster than a purebred. And the boys are consuming about twice as much feed as the girls at that point, with very little being converted into meat.

Thanks so much. He just turned 14 wks today. If he's got no more significant meat to offer then he can go.

On mine, some of them have the white middle toes only on their left feet! Let's keep each other posted and see what they look like as they grow up.

My Josephine is growing up!! <3 At 10 weeks old now, she's a gorgeous dark blue-green-sheened black, with a little gold coming in on her neck and chest. He legs are now grayish with a yellow wash on the front. So crazy how much they change in just a couple of months!

I got this little cutie from a "brown egg layer assortment" bin at the feed store and they get their chicks from Hoover hatchery...so my guess is it's a black sex link (pullet??)?
