My hen Cilla has been sitting on her eggs now for 21 days and no baby chicks as of yet. Also do I need to help Cilla in anyway. Everything I can find to read about new baby chicks is incubator chicks with no Momma. I have the food they will need and smaller feeders and drinking containers for them but what else. I also have one other hen (Sissy) should I keep her away from the chicks, if I ever get any? Believe it or not she has helped Cilla with sitting on the eggs.

The mother will take care of everything. If you keep all the birds together, they'll all need to be eating starter feed.
Were all the eggs under her now started the same day?

Yes, I got the eggs at the same time and they told me they had been laid that morning. I just don't want to do anything wrong, Cilla has taken such good care up to now that I don't want to cause anything to go wrong because I don't know what I am doing.

Thanks just wanted to make sure. I went out this morning and there was one baby chick, so I got out the baby chick food I had bought and the small feeder and water container and placed it very near to momma Cilla and she started showing Cleo (new baby's name) how to eat and drink. It was amazing to watch. Didn't touch baby but petted Momma to let her know how proud I was of her. Still three more eggs to go guess I will just have to wait and see.

They usually don't come off the nest to show the chick what to eat and how to drink until the eggs are done so you may only have one chick.
They usually just sit tight till all that are going to hatch do so.
