A friend pf mine told me this and I tried it. I thought you all might be interested. You know how we are supposed to find ways to cut back on the fat in our food? Get a lg pan of water boiling, Mix your eggs for the omelet in a qt zip lock baggie, along with all the stuff you want in it (not the butter). Mix it all inside the baggie, zip it shut and put it in the boiling water. Put a lid on it and let it cook. It usually takes about ten - twelve mins. Just dont let it touch the sides of the pan, it will melt a little. When all cone, un zip it and up end it onto your plate careful it is very very hot. Really really good.

Great idea!! I bet it would be really good when you are camping as well

I hate doing camp dishes!!

Just so you know, regular plastic bags aren't rated for cooking temperatures. There are new steamer bags, but they have holes in them and wouldn't work for boiling.

With all the news lately of the lovely chemicals used to make plastics, we don't microwave anything in plastic anymore... Even "microwave-safe" plastic bowls.
