Yeah, it's amazing how fearless and ruthless they are. Be careful with the traps, oftentimes one will get trapped, and the others will get wise to it after that.

safe coon etc traps are available that allow only target animals to do something specific to set off. E net fencing that just needs be taken out of box, unrolled, posts that are attached having only be stepped on foot hold to force down. then keep weeds etc from touching and grounding current. hot wire, so many inches from ground, provide cheap protection from land animals, as they cannot usually go under over or through, unless special issue (my rough collies coat etc seemed to ground current, allowing him and some smart and maybe just really desperate yotes he was after (maybe he was just determined, but i don't know), through hotwire fence for angus beef cattle.
