DAY 4---Using "Dry Incubation Method" but humidity won't go down! Is at 42% but should be at 25%-35%

It is day 4 of incubation, the only problem I have is the humidity is too high. Since I'm using the dry incubation method the humidity needs to be 25-35 but right now it's 42! There is no water in it at all, I think the room it's in is too humid, that's why it won't go down! What can I do to lower the humidity!?!

You can try and put dry rice in it. It acts like a dehumidifier.

Are your vent pulled out or all the way open.

Is the hydrometer accurate in the incubator.

I'm new at this but my last batch of chicks hatched 23/25 had 40-43 percent humidity up til I locked them down and raised to 80 percent humidity.

Hope all works out.

Wow, rice is a good idea! Brilliant!

I'm relieved, I thought in order to have a good hatch rate it had to be lower! Apparently not! I also heard other people used that humidity range and had a successful hatch! Thank you!
