We got these in March at TSC. Any guesses as to their breeds?

An additional question - Any idea what's wrong with the grey crested (I think that's what it's called) duck? It's neck is crooked, and it's body is almost in a different direction than it's legs. It waddles in a circle and seems to get lost easily. It was normal as a duckling, but has progressed to this. Whatever the case, my kids love it and affectionately call it 'Afro duck'. ;)

I briefly searched up "Afro duck" and I'm starting to think your photo resembles a crested duck. (The grey one.)

The white one looks like a Pekin (we got a Pekin at TSC as well), the others, someone else will have to help with.

As for the deformity on the crested - it looks to be wryneck. Info can be found a that link, and on BYC here and here. Poor thing :(

Hope that little bit helps . . .

Dan

The big white one is a pekin, the tall black one a runner duck, the large black and white appears to be a magpie and the "afro duck" is a crested.

The neck is actually not unusual for a crested duck, show quality birds are supposed to display this kind of curve. If you google for crested ducks, you will find that many birds on the pictures are at least similar.

Your duck is also displaying another not untypical trait of crested ducks, or at least one typical for birds with large crests like yours - brain damage. The crest feathers grow on top of a knob of fatty tissue that prevents the cranium from closing completely. The larger the crest, the larger the fatty knob, and in large crests it reaches actually into the brain and causes some of interference, mostly motorical fuctions are disturbed. In severe cases, ducks are so impared that they lose the ability to swim and drown.
On the picture it seems that the crest blocking the duck's eyesight, maybe you would like to give it a little trim.
