I bought a mixed bag of chicks at Buckerfields (supposed to be all females)...this ONE looks different...the others all have little combs, but this one has a bigger one...They were supposed to be RIR, Barred Rock and Red Rock...however I have some others that ended up in the mix (columbia rock)...is this a different breed, an older pullet, or a roo in the works...Thanks

That first one does look like a cockerel. The blackish one looks like it may be a black sex link / Black Star.
 
The first one is a rooster. Looks to be a RIR. The others look like either black sex links or EE pullets. I say EEs because they have green legs.

How old is that red bird? I'm pretty sure he's male, but age will help be sure.

The other bird looks like a black sex link pullet.
 
Thanks to all that have answered. I thought it was a cockerel, but doubted it when I was told he had no saddle feathers. I guess they come later? He's too young to crow still. But this chickens voice (when not peeping) is much different from the siblings.
