Is there anyway to stop this behavior? He's an easter egger roo. When I go out to feed them when I'm pouring the food or if he just sees it in my hands he will jump on me! I mean the last time on my freaking head!! He's still kinda small so it's not bad but it's becoming a real problem and I don't want to get rid of him, what should I do?

I think I'm going to make a feeder from PVC, having it come outside of he coop so I don't have to goto the run to feed them. They do free range but I feed them inside the run.

Ugh he did it again! Jumped right on my head and I wasn't even feeding them, just getting something out of the run. Do you think clipping his wings would prevent that? Wouldn't it also keep him from being able to get on the roost too though

Gently brush him off when he jumps on you like that. Some of my trained birds have jumped on me in excitement to get at food. A few of my broody hens will even fly across a very weedy field at points flying more than 10 feet high before landing on me before diving into feed bucket. Mine are games which explains the flying habits but I inadvertently trained them. Brushing them off a couple of times helps them learn doing such cost energy and does not get more food faster.
