Had ducklings before and don't recall this behavior. Occurs when they are sitting down resting. They act normally when they are up and about. Got them from Metzer Farms on July 9th mail order. They seem to be eating and growing fine. Just wondering what this behavior is. Are they to hot, to cold? They go through their water bottle pretty fast I have noticed which so do my adult ducks. They are behaving normally. Temp is a little high around 90F which the thermometer is almost directly under the light. They have ample room at the other end to get away from the heat if they want. While they don't sleep directly under it they are in the vicinity of the light. Its a 100 watt light I have on and it keeps it at 90F. So any ideas on what the behavior is?
Thanks in advance!

It does sound too hot. A missing piece of information is their age. If they are six weeks old, then they need to be below 70˚F in the brooder. The rule of thumb is 90 the first week, drop 5 degrees a week.
