I am not sure, but I have seen something like this from the temp in the brooder getting to high at some point. If it is fine, then that is good. I've had special needs birds from time to time, and they seem to deal with it and get along fine. I don't believe it to be a genetic issue, but a fluctuation of temp somewhere in its incubation period. Did you hatch the chick, or did you purchase it.

Best to you and your birds,

RJ

If you know how to make a splint you need to do so before it gets worse and the splint will do wonders and it will get worse in time and if it turns out to be a hen the roosters will damage her .....

Just something I have had to deal with both ways and the splint needs to come of every day and you need to exercise the leg manually by moving it back and forth then rewrap the leg ...

After you get the splint on take a picture so we can all see it ....

I thin you are a little short on some vitamins and a great way to replace them is with some hard boiled egg's and one egg will feed ten chicks to give you an idea so one egg three times a week for several weeks should do the trick .....

Some of my little guys having egg's for breakfast

It really makes a lot of difference
