THEY HAVE SHIPPED!

I'm hatching eggs out of my laying flock, in the bator I have 3 purebred Easter eggers, 4 golden comet/Easter eggers, 2 buff Orpington/silkes. And 2 more but I don't know what they are.. I used cackle a few years ago and got my Easter egger and golden comet flock! And 2 ducks and 4 turkeys. All were alive when they arrived and they were what I ordered! Very good experience!

I'm not very good with the bator but you should try!!

I'll have to give them a try if I'm ever looking for a large order. I ordered from Meyer because I only had to order a minimum of 3 and I really didn't need 15 or 25 chickens. Unfortunately my coop just isn't big enough. I think I'm definitely going to try. If one of my Easter Eggers turns out to be a roo like I think it is I am going to try to weasel a bator out of my DH for Christmas or my birthday. Have you ever hatched anything crossed with a silkie before? If so do you have any pictures I could look at?

They're here! The PO called at 5:30 this morning and let me pick them up early. They are all alive and well. They've had a drink and are all huddled under the Brinsea warmer. One, I think the EE, came out and pecked at the food. I'll take pictures as soon as they get warmed up. Yay!

Oops! Just saw this. Haha. SO glad they are healthy and happy!!!

Thats wonderful news Kattington. I'm very happy that everyones chicks arrived safe and sound. So far with mine it seems like only two have gotten pasty butt. They all seem to be doing wonderfully this morning, little happy cheepers.

No I haven't ever hatched a silkie X before. These are the first! I had a white silkie rooster in with one flock and in my second flock was my Easter egger roo. The dogs attacked flock one and killed my silkie rooster and 7 of my hens. So I put my second flock (my cackle hatchery order from a couple years ago) in with whatever was left of flock 1- 8 hens. So now the EE roo covers my 19 girls and I want to start a second flock with this cackle order! I can put on pics of these silkie crosses when they hatch!!

Pictures! I think I know who is who.

I think this is my meal maker. Not sure, but maybe a RIR?

Everyone's eating and drinking and doing well! Hope the other babies are doing well today!
