THEY HAVE SHIPPED!

Yes I did get some pictures. I just get so side tracked that I forget what I am doing sometimes.

I did have one of my chickens get out a couple of weeks ago. Stayed around the house and managed to survive for a whole week before we were able to catch it again. I was pleasantly surprised that it survived that long. I am unfortunately still waiting for eggs though. I am hopeful that if I put a light to simulate daylight that maybe I will get some before next spring. Anyone else have any pictures to share?
Nice pics! :) How old are they now?

Wow, two of the hens in the first photo look exactly like my Easter Eggers! All I have recent pictures of right now is one of the Buff Orps, she's 15 weeks old today:

You can see some of the other hens in the background of the first photo. And yes, we have now confirmed that they are all hens.

Backyardflock 5 of them are 6 months and the other 6 are 4 months. She is a gorgeous buff. Glad to hear that you have all hens. I only have one EE that doesnt have the beard which is the one you can see the face of in the first photo. My light Brahma is an absolute beast and despite being younger than the EEs is already larger than them. Including standing taller and is wider. It's crazy how big it is. I wish I could get pictures of that one next to one of the others just so you guys could see. I have now resorted to threatening them to hopefully get some eggs. I swear they know its all empty threats though.

I got my 15 BO from Ideal, they all made the trip real well, they turned 1 week old last Friday,I did put electrolytes and probiotics in their water the 1st day, they are eating Dumor crumbles and I feed them a boiled egg,not giving to much snacks right yet want them to get all the good out of their food,i am going to add a sand dirt bath this weekend,i am brooding them in rthe house,i live in Arkansas and it is way to cold for fuzzy butts to be outside,in the pic I have a textured paper down so they would not eat the pine shavings before they figured out where to get their food from,i have given them mealworms and small pieces of bread

I have 3 red sex links and they all started laying at 4 months old ,the 1st egg laid was a double yolk

this is the egg beside a store bought large white egg,,,

they are 2 weeks old today and I am speculating....that 2 are going to be roosters...ugh,well that is 90% accuracy I guess there will be 3 chickens in the freezer this spring, sad I wanted them all to be hens, they are getting more used to me coming to them and not freaking out,i am not handling them as much as I did my 1st babies...
