Hello,

I've been looking for a lovely active forum for ages and it looks like I've found the place! I joined yesterday and spent the day reading up and getting to know my way around the forum!

I'm currently on Day 9 of a. 21 day home incubation using fertile chicken eggs. Out of the 11 eggs we out in, we've got 4 live ones that currently growing. Not the best start but it's my first time!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. We all love chatting about chickens. Don't be discouraged about only 4 out of 11 eggs currently growing. I never did have any success with homemade incubators (I finally ended up buying a Genesis styrofoam incubator before I got any eggs to hatch),but we've had other members who have been successful with homemade incubators.
