Sick or Injured Chick HELP!

I recently had one go through this almost exactly, but mine was younger. It ended up being a bacterial infection, I lost two but was able to save one with antibiotics. I think if it is an infection like mine, people would tell you to use baytril. It may be too late for this little one, but in case any more get sick. I actually used cephalexin b/c it was what I had on hand, and that worked to save one of my three sick one. Good luck, I hope you can do something for the chick.

Thank you so much. What was the dosing of cephalexin you tried? I have some on hand and am desperate. She's going downhill fast and can't use her legs or eat or drink on her own.

i used 1 500 mg capsule, opened it up and combined with 50 cc of water. Dosed at 1 cc every four hours. I am not in any way a vet/ this is just what helped my chick. And mine was only 4 days old, so only 2 oz, you could probably do 2 ccs of this mix, but I'm not sure. I was just desperate not to lose another chick, and would try anything.

Oh I am so sorry for your loss
