Hi... Almost 5 weeks. The store said it was a Crested. (but a crested what?...Polish...maybe? ) Has no waddles. Have no idea what to look for as far as gender goes with this one. Help Please!!! Thanks a bunch!

Hi...can you help me understand what on him is identifying as a roo. So I can take him back and hopefully pick out a female. I don't know what Im looking for. thanks
Crest is a really spikey mohawk. pullet is more rounded feathers and never a mohawk.
There's no wattles because it's a bearded Polish. I would wait a bit longer before deciding on sex because crests can grow through rather untidily in pullets. What is the comb like? If small and non existent then I would definitely keep hold of the bird. If it's getting plump and red then you most likely have a cockerel.

Hi thanks.....I don't see any comb and definitely no color. This polish is not like any of my other chicks where there is a visible comb etc...and the odd mis-shapen thing over his nose??? ...I don't know if that's the comb or what. Sorry that may sound silly....
