I had 4 chickens. I now have two. Sunday I let them run around the yard most of the day, I cleaned their pen shoveled out poop and old food, and gave them new food and water. Since then almost all the food is still there, and only half their water is gone.I also noticed they weren't very active... today when I went out today to check on them and give them new food, and I found two of them dead. There is no marks... what could it be?
 
Are there any signs of illness? Wheezing/respiratory? What do the poops look like? Are they solid? normal color? How old are they? DO they usually run around in the yard? Is there anything that could have gotten into when free ranging? Weed killer sprayed on grass etc? My old fall back when they arent eating is to scramble up some eggs to get something nutritious into them-rarely will they turn away from scambled eggs.
 
Other than not eating or being as active their normal. I haven't seen anything out of their noses or heard them wheezing. Their about 4 months old. And there is nothing in the yard that could be harmful to them. I feel terrible. :(
 
I've had them since they were a week old, and their about four months old now. My other two are acting better today. Fingers crossed that their ok!
