Are you sure it is from the rat poop? Do you think there might be something else going on here ?

I'm from harthill a little village between sheffield, worksop and rotherham :) nice to hear from a fellow chickeny person that was from my neck of the woods !
 
I am so sorry to see this. We all put so much work into our chickens! and we get so attached. In the states I have used Decon. In NH no one lets their animals run loose, to many predators. Decon works good and you can rid your self of them in 24 hours.
 
I found the cause! I'm devastated! It's coccidia. I feel so stupid and I should've known! It wasn't maraks AT ALL ! ALL THIS TIME I THOUGH IT WAS RAT POOP! The vet is coming out to see if there is anything else wrong.

I'm trying to get NPIP certified so I can sell Crevecours. These two are show quality to and on the endangered list. I want to help keep them going. So I am going to read up on how to treat it.
