Hey Everyone. I am recently new to BYC and raising chickens.
I have five 18 1/2 week White Leghorns. I'm pretty that only one of the five has been laying for a week now.
Anyways back to my question.
One of my girls has been pecking at the others feet and once saw her peck at another's plum while getting situated on the roost before they retire for the night. I obviously don't know if she is doing this while I'm not present.
Should I be worried about this?
I haven't seen any other bullying behavior. I'm thinking maybe she's just upset when the others are moving around to get situated and wants her space. Or maybe jealously when I'm in there. I'm a dork, but I try to say goodnight to them before they go to sleep.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
