Bright GREEN Liver/Organs?

As long as you cook something really well, it won't hurt you.

Same goes for feeding weird parts to your dogs... don't do it, and if you are gonna anyway, please cook it!

We were processing some of our cornish X today and one of them had a VERY bright green liver. I'm talking the greenest grass color. It was the color of the organ itself, and it seemed huge- like I wasn't sure if it was all just the liver. I wish I had taken a picture of it because it was the weirdest thing.
Everything else was still intact including the intestines and the gall bladder- nothing had been broken, but inside was just a whole bunch of bright green liver-looking organs.

Is this okay? What could have caused this? Do you think the gall bladder might have ruptured via an injury (perhaps my 3 yr old) throughout the chicken's life and stained it ALL green somehow? Nothing else was effected.

Also, our chickens are all free range. The cornish hang with the layers and everyone gets fed feed (general poultry feed) in the morning and then free ranges all over for the rest of the day. I feed them a few handfuls in the eve to bring them into the coop run.
