Sick Rooster

Thank you so much for all your help Kathy. I would take him to the vet if it came down to it but the closet avian vet is over an hour from me. As soon as I mixed the water for him with the Corid he started drinking it right away also. I was worried I was going to have a hard time getting him to drink. His main squeeze a RIR has been by his side all day and gets huffy with me if I mess with him so I am not going to separate them and stress him any worse since I am treating all of them. His girls seem to be very nice to him right now. No picking on him so far.

Well its good that you have the bases covered, if their poop is similar and not normal then treating them as well is a good option to be safe

Just wanted to thank everyone for their help. The quick responses I got bought me enough time to save my beautiful boy and prevent my girls from getting sick. 9 days later after a week of corrid and worming they are all doing great. And three days was exactly how long it took to see improvement. By day three my big boy starting coming out and socializing and eating again. One more quick question his comb has been beautiful since it started coming in and I know the faded red and floppiness was from being sick but now that he's better the color is coming back but the comb is still floppy. Will it ever stand up again? I am new to chickens and this is my first time dealing with illness so I thought I would ask. It puts me in the mind of a German shepherd I had once who ended up with a floppy ear after a hematoma. Ok ramble over. Thank you thank you thank you again my flock and I appreciate it so much.
