I had originally posted in the wrong forum I believe, so I am posting in the right one now I hope....


This one is about 2 weeks old now, full size and supposed to be guaranteed pullet (although nothing is guaranteed).



Close up, so cute with the white spots.



This is the bantam, 4 weeks old, and has dark legs. Any ideas as to the breed and or sex?

I have found it difficult to get pics where they aren't moving much! The others ended up out of frame or blurred because the are some quick little buggers!
Any tips on taking pics of theses squirrelly little chicks? Lol

Hopefully they are pullets!
 
Your "Ameraucana" looks like a speckled Sussex pullet. The bantam is a pullet. Maybe a light brown Dutch?

So adorable either way. I was told that the chipmunk looking chicks were EE or AM! So that is what I was hoping for, but any of them are good with me, as long as they can produce some eggs! The Speckled little one is getting so big so fast and is already a bit bigger than the Bantam which is just feathering right now, not really growing much. I love watching them play with each other!
 
My Speckled Sussex looked a lot like your mystery #1 bird when she was young.


She's about 20 weeks now. Gorgeous bird. Dark brown feathers with white tips. With an overall green shimmer to them.
Very curious and the first to greet me in the morning. My only (minor) complaint is that she's a bit of a treat hog. I often have to fend her off so everyone gets their fair share.

I don't know if that's a breed thing, or just mine though since I only have 1 :)

Edit: PS. Your videos make me miss my little ones when they were babies. They're great fun now too (just waiting on eggs) but there's something totally enduring about their little peeps. The Sussex is the one that pecks the camera near the beginning.

LOL, I have few worm crazed girls my self, they love to squawk about as they watch me turning dirt in the back yard waiting for me to toss them the clods of moist dirt filled with fresh earth worms! YUM! I really do thing you are right, the feed store got the chicks from a local woman who said she hatched more than she was expecting and that they were a few different breeds in there, one being ameracana and so I picked the chipmunk looking ones hoping they would be EE or AM! But anything as long as they are little girls! LOL
