I got him about a month ago. On the second day he flew at my legs and puffed out his feathers, still coming at me, so I kicked him away from me and got outta there :/ Since then I carried a stick and chased him off if he tried anything again. But today and yesterday he came at me a few times, what can I do to stop this behaviour? Its really annoying, and im kinda nervous around him

Personally, I'd put him in the freezer. If you are particularly attached to him, though, there is a person here on BYC who goes by the name centrarchid - he has an interesting method to stopping rooster aggression. I won't try to explain it, although it seems pretty simple, since it's his deal. I don't have the patience for it.

Oh I could never do that to him lol, very squeamish, I don't want the bother of finding another one aswell, when he could end up the same

I wouldn't let him know your scared for starters!l
Can you seperate him till he behaves..?
Or try shouting, water pistol?

To each his own...

I was raised a city girl, but grew up hunting and fishing. I learned how to clean ducks and pheasants by the time I was 12. (Never did learn how to fillet a fish, but that's OK - that way DH can clean the fish!) I married a farmer who was raised raising chickens for meat. When our niece was just 2, they were out on butchering day and she would play in the chicken guts. So, for me it's an easy thing to do. Especially if I have an attack bird that is stealing my joy of having chickens. My only concern is, if the bird learns that YOU are the boss, it doesn't necessarily mean it will respect anyone else as the boss. Like company, friends, family, small visiting children, etc.

The water pistol sounds like it could work, I'll give it a shot:)

Whenever he comes at you grab him up and tuck him under you arm at your hip (kinda like a football). With two fingers of your other hand push his head facing downward. Let go. When he picks it up, push it back. Repeat till he leaves it down. Then set him down. Every time he comes at you immediately do this. I have only had to repeat it a couple times on mine. I had a rooster so bad I had to tote a pvc pipe when I would go outside. I finally had to kill him. I didn't want that to happen again so I read lots of things. This one has worked for me.
