Is my quail stressed?

So one of my quail is not laying. She is of laying age but I haven't received an egg from her. During the night and early morning she is in a bird cage with a cover over it and during the day I move her to a large pen. She has grass and mud to bathe in and food and water. I give her treats all the time and she acts happy to me but there are no eggs. I purchased her as an adult and she had a minor respiratory problem that t she healed from. She lives with one other quail. Could it be that she is lonely and needs more quails to be with. I am assuming its stress because she is overall healthy now but she also seems happy and does her happy hops and flies every time I put her in her larger pen. Or could it be that she is really old. I have no idea how old she is.

I know that my quail get stressed when handled. I don't know about yours and I don't know how you get them into the large cage but try not to touch them.

I only hold her for a minute or so when moving her. She is tame and doesnt seem to mind being held when she is standing on my hands. Either she is really old or somethings wrong with her.

She may need more light to be able to lay. If you are covering her she may not be getting enough light. Try giving artificial light 14 hours a day and see if she starts to lay in a couple of weeks.

Also if you give her feed that is at least 24% protein that will help her make eggs.
