Help.!

All depends on what you have to work with for starters. What is your run made out of, where do you want the roosts?

I have dog kennel panels for my run, so I went into the woods and found some small trees of the correct size and cut them down and brought them back to the yard. I cut them to a length and size that would fit through the chainlink fencing at the corner so I now have two roosts in the corner of the run that were very easy to install and remove if needed.

Thanks how big should the coop be for 7 to 8 hens

I just hauled a partial tree into my run for additional roosts but then I've got downed trees all over the place. You could always get a couple of cinder blocks and place them on end with the holes facing each other about 6 feet apart and then run an 8 foot 2x4 (long side flat) through the top holes and let the chickens use that.

As far as run size you'd be better off searching since there are probably quite a few opinions, based on facts of course, on the subject. The last thing I read said that at least 10 square feet per bird in the run is a good idea.
