I incubated my eggs for 10 days, at which point my broody Silkie took them as her own. We have a separate maternity ward for her an the chicks.. today two were dead before they fully hatched. I'm not sure why. I HAVE since moved all of the eggs to an incubator with one additional hatch. Should I try to put them back with her?:and if so...when?

I would leave them in the incubator. Next time, you could try letting her do it. The reason I say leave them in the incubator is since you had one hatch in there.

Once they all hatch and are dry you might try to given them to her .... It must be done at full dark so she cant see them, cup one at a time in your hand and slip them under her from behind.. She may or may not accept them, if she doesn't be ready to take them back and raise them yourself.

I'd keep them in the incubator and then once they all hatch put them under her after dark and hopefully she will adopt them as if she hatched them herself.
