The Missing Heir RP

Karoks shire trudged slowly throw the deep snow. It was old, and tired, just like it's owner. Yet they ad a mission. With the bandits about the human princess would be in grave danger. Karok prayed silently in his mind that his companions would find her first.

Randel rode at a flat out Gallup for at least an hour, and only slowed as he caught sight of Dalibor, Bogdan and Sture ahead on the snow covered road.

Bogdan was the first to spot the archers return, "Dalibor, it's Randel!" He barked. Dalibor and Sture turned quickly, and the three men stopped to let the forth catch up.

"Whither is Elis, what happened?!" Dalibor demanded as Randel reached them, he tried to catch his breath to answer, but Sture beat him to it, "Elis got himself killed by that witch, that tis what happened!"
"Aye, he is dead," Randel confirmed, "But the witch did not do–"
"It don't matter who did it!" Bogdan cut him off.
"Stop!" Dalibor shouted, and they obeyed, then he continued in a low tone, "What is done, is done, we aren't going to accomplish anything by arguing."

Dalibor posed, then looked to the archer and spoke more calmly, "Now, Randel, what was that the witch meant about the Wildfolk young'n being thy own blood? Is that even possibly?"
Randel posed, "Dost thee remember when we ransacked that Wildfolk clan, years back?"
"Which one..." Sture chimed in derisively.
"The one before we lost Woden." Randel scowled.
The other men nodded, they remembered, that was before Elis had even joined them.
"What doth that mean then...?" Bogdan asked, shaking his wiry mane of red hair.
"The young lass I took, dost ye remember?" Randel scowled further.

They nodded again, then Dalibor spoke gruffly, stroking his beard, "I did not know that was possible, but now he have a sun that wants ye dead."
"I hope ye killed the mutt before ye ran," Sture interjected.
"Nay, the witch protected him." Randel answered.
"Shame..." Sture sighed, fingering one of his knifes.

Elis's horse came thundering around the bend in the road, crashing through the snow. It slowed as it reached them, it recognized the other horses, and that calmed it slightly.
"I wilt get him," Sture muttered as the spooked animal pranced around them. He slid off his own steed, speaking softly as he approached the frightened horse, it aloud him to get a hold of its reins, and he lead it back and mounted up.

Dalibor looked around them, "Well, we best put some distance between them, and find this princess, she can't be far now." They obeyed, in silence, continuing up the foot hills as the forest began to thin and the snow thickened.

((Eek, that's a lot!))

Thea had stopped when Nanami raised her hand, and was extremely confused when the dark elves' saddle slid off the horses back. "Ah, good day." Thea said once Aileen appeared, Wonderful, more invisible elves... She thought with a sigh as her horses' tossed their head in surprise at Aileen's sudden appearance.
"Aileen, where's thy horse?" Nanami asked, fixing the saddle on the horse. Aileen whistled and a horse came up over the ridge in no hurry.

Thea watched as the elves horse came out of the woods, stroked her own steed's neck as it whinnied to the newcomer. "Good den, Aileen. I am Thea, what a pleaser it is to meet you." She said politely, though a little louder than before, and nodded her head with a smile.

After two hours of riding, they reached the foothills, "Methinks, we are a miles ride from the smoke we spotted," Aeron told the group, noting the barely visible trails made in the snow by Dalibor, Bogdan, Sture, and Randel...

"Col...?" Naveen said timidly.
"What is it? My Lady." Nicholas replied as they rode through the snow covered trail, with steep, rocky slopes to either side.
Naveen posed, then continued, "How far is it now? I'm just... Maybe we should not have–"
"Don't, Naveen. Ye know we could never have been together if we stayed." He cut her off, glancing behind them.
"Thee art right, I am so sorry. Ye know I love thee, I'm just, so tired..." She sighed.
Col nodded, "I understand, and I love thee too, always remember that."

Naveen was about to reply, but Nicholas rised his hand to stop her, and she obeyed. Col pulled their horse to a stop, looking around them. He had heard something... He dismounted, and quickly led the horse off to a rocky outcropping, and hid them behind it. Naveen didn't speak, she was unsure of what was going on.

A moment later, four men on horseback came into view, all laden down with weapons, one leading another horse behind him... They passed, disappearing around a bend, and after a long while, Col led them back out.

"Col?!" Naveen sounded frightened.
"Those men art looking for us," He muttered, swinging back into the saddle.
"Really? How do ye know?"
Col scowled, "No one travail threw the mountains at this time of year, without good reason."

He turned them around and started riding, planing to backtrack for a little ways, then go on another path. It would cross this path many times, but was a safer bet if they wanted to ovoid being caught.
